Scoobs
In april of 2024, i took scoobs in for his once yearly wellness panel. this involves doing a complete blood workup to see how his insides are functioning. at the time, his liver values were way off the chart and his thyroid levels were out of whack.
to provide context for his liver, a normal range for ALT is between 12-118 and his was 297.
his ALP levels, which can indicate liver or bone problems was 163, where a normal range is between 5-132.
he was also constantly having his thyroid medication adjusted as we couldn’t get the numbers under control.
needless to say, i was worried, and also tired of medicating him and watching his mood fluctuate based on the new dosages that were recommended.
i promptly started him on two different supplements - milk thistle (for liver support) and thyroid defense (a blend of cardamom powder, mustard seed powder and kelp powder), both via @blendsforlifepet as i’ve been using other supplements of theirs for years with great success.

His liver values are in a completely NORMAL range now, with his ALT at 116 and his ALP at 126.
Not only that, we have been able to greatly reduce his thyroid medication and the doctor believes we may be able to take him entirely off of it as the dosage is currently so low.
